Earlier in the year, Google launched its vulnerability program which is a system to reward researchers who found bugs in any of the web properties belonging to Google. The class of bugs which would qualify for a reward was stated as “any serious bug which directly affects the confidentiality or integrity of user data…”

A few days ago, Google reported on its online security blog that the results have been fantastic and they plan to award $20,000 to researchers who have already spotted bugs. The awards are from $500 to $3,133.7, depending on the severity of the bug spotted.

The vulnerability program is limited only to Google.com, YouTube.com, Blogger.com and Orkut.com and does not extend to Picasa, Android or other Google properties.

If you skillful researcher with the talent for spotting bugs, you might want to get in on the Google vulnerability program while it is still going.
